Lifes Most Satisfying Simple Pleasures

They say the best things in life are free. Life is filled with simple pleasures, the little satisfying effects you never really anticipate, but always take great pleasure in. They are the gifts of life that we each celebrate in our own unique way.

Here are 30 of the most satisfying simple pleasures life has to offer:

  1. Sleeping In on a Rainy Day – As the rain beats lightly against the window, you nestle your head deeper into your pillow. The sound is soothing and your bed feels like a sanctuary. There is no place you would rather be.
  2. Finding Money You Didn’t Know You Had – You reach into your pocket and find a $20 bill from the last time you wore these jeans. You aren’t rich, but you are richer than you were a second earlier.
  3. Making Brief Eye Contact with Someone of the Opposite Sex – You pass her on the street or in the subway. She glances up at you momentarily, making direct eye contact in a way that seems to communicate a subtle curiosity. For a split second it makes you think… and then it’s gone.
  4. Skinny Dipping – There is something mysteriously liberating about being naked in a body of water. You are naked, but it feels natural, a sense of unrefined freedom.
  5. Receiving a Real Letter or Package via Snail Mail – E-mail has become the primary source of written communication. Most snail mail these days is junk mail. When you check the mail and find a real letter or package from someone you know, excitement overtakes you as you tear into this rare gift.
  6. Making the Yellow Light - It’s one of the most common simple pleasures, the act of beating the pack. As you blaze through the yellow light you glance in your rearview to see all the cars behind you stopping at the red light. Yes! You made it!
  7. Telling a Funny or Interesting, True Story - One of the most enticing roles you lead in life is that of the storyteller. You love to share stories, especially those that will captivate your audience with deep curiosity and humor. There are few things more satisfying than telling a true story that others enjoy listening to.
  8. Seeing a Friend Stumble Over Himself – As you walk across the street with your friend, he fails to accurately address the curb on the other side. He trips and stumbles around momentarily before regaining his footing, then swiftly attempts to play it off like nothing happened. This can be a hilarious sight if the moment is right.
  9. Hearing the Right Song at the Right Moment - It doesn’t matter what the setting is, hearing the right song for that moment is one of those simple pleasures in life that instantly lifts your spirits. You could be driving home from work, hanging out at a bar with friends, or jogging. When the right song rattles your ear drums the entire meaning of life seems crystal clear.
  10. The First Sip of a Beverage When You’re Thirsty – You just finished mowing the lawn or taking a long jog. The only thing on your mind is an ice-cold glass of water. When you are really, really thirsty, that first sip of any liquid beverage is sheer bliss.
  11. Catching a Glimpse of Bare Skin on the Opposite Sex – For guys, it’s when the waitress bends over a little too far. For girls it’s seeing that buff guy in a Speedo. Either way, when you see a bit more skin than you were expecting on the opposite sex, you can’t help but to smirk on the inside.
  12. Saying the Same Thing Simultaneously – There is a moment of silence. Then all of the sudden you and your friend blurt out the same exact set of words simultaneously. This rare occurrence is something to smile about.
  13. The Pull-Through Parking Spot – You pull into a parking spot and are delighted to see the availability of the parking spot immediately in front of you. You pull through to the spot in front so that when you return to the car you can drive forward out of the parking spot. Why? Because driving backwards is a pain in the butt.
  14. Realizing You Have More Time to Sleep – Something abruptly awakens you and you think it’s time to get up. Then you squint over at your alarm clock and realize you still have 2 more hours to sleep. A warm euphoric feeling shoots though your body as you glide gracefully back to your dreams.
  15. People Watching – Sitting there on your bench you can see people in every direction. Tall people, small people, thin and plump. Blond, brunette, and redhead alike. Each of them has a different stride and a unique expression. As you drift from body to body you are mesmerized by what you see.
  16. Putting On Clothes Straight from the Dryer – As soon as the dryer buzzes, you pull out your clothes and put them on. They feel soothingly warm on your skin and emit a fresh-scented aroma into the air. A sentiment of ease comes over you as you head out to conquer the day.
  17. A Familiar Smell – You just pulled into your parent’s driveway and opened the car door. You haven’t been home in a long while. You smell familiarity in the air, the scent of a large pine tree in the neighbor’s yard. As you head through the front door, more familiar smells consume your senses. Gosh, it feels good to be home…
  18. The Feeling You Get When Your Idea Works – You have been struggling to resolve a complex problem all day and you just can’t seem to get it right. Filled with frustration, you decide to exercise one last idea before calling it a night. You’ve had many ideas before that failed miserably… but this time it works.
  19. Fresh, Clean Bed Sheets – You yank at the corner of the bedspread to create just enough space to slide your body under the freshly cleaned sheets. The sheets feel cool to the touch. Everything seems so clean, like nobody has ever slept in this bed before.
  20. A Beautiful View – As the car veers around the side of the mountain you gaze out the passenger window. It’s a clear, sunny day and you can see the entire valley below filled with wild flowers and bright green vegetation. The scenery reminds you of something you once saw in National Geographic. But here it is live, right before your eyes.
  21. Reminiscing About Old Times with Your Closest Friends – Pink Floyd once said “the memories of a man in his old age are the deeds of a man in his prime”. There is no simple pleasure more satisfying than recounting the greatest moments of your life with your closest friends who lived these moments alongside you.
  22. Receiving an Unexpected Compliment – It’s been an average day. Nothing really great has happened, but nothing terrible occurred either. This monotonous day has put you in a dreary mood. Unexpectedly, an older, attractive lady taps you on the shoulder, calls you “handsome” and says she loves your shirt. The day just got a whole lot better.
  23. Having a Good Laugh – Laughter is the greatest cure of all. Life is extraordinary in the moments when you are laughing so hard you can barely breathe. These moments of deep laughter are divine in the sense that they cleanse your mood and set your mind on a positive track.
  24. The Feeling After a Healthy Workout - It’s a giddy feeling of self accomplishment; the one true activity that actually makes you feel better and look better simultaneously. When you walk out the front door of the gym you are on top of the world.
  25. The Celebration in the Instant Something Makes Sense – Even now that it has explained to you for the third time, you just don’t understand how it works. Everyone else seems to understand but you. Then out of the blue the dots connect in your mind. You finally get it, and it feels great!
  26. Relaxing Outdoors on a Sunny Day – As you relax sprawled out in a lawn chair, the sun warms your skin and a light breeze keeps the temperature comfortable. Birds are chirping merrily in the trees behind you. You are at complete peace with the environment.
  27. Holding Hands with Someone You Love – Every time she grabs your hand you are overcome with an awareness of how much she means to you. Holding hands is sensual and physically intimate, yet subtle. There are few people you allow to hold your hand, so when it happens you can be sure that the moment is special.
  28. Playing in the Water – Water marvels people of all ages. From jumping in puddles as a child, to doing cannon balls in the pool as an adolescent, to enjoying a cocktail in the Jacuzzi as an adult… water is enjoyable.
  29. Making Someone Smile – You notice that your colleague has been under a great deal of stress with meeting a deadline, so you take it upon yourself to complete one of her indirect responsibilities for her. As soon as she realizes what you did, she comes into your office with a big smile on her face. “Thank you”, she says. You just hit two birds with one stone, because making her smile just made your day.
  30. Finishing What You Started – You just finished up a big project you’ve been working on for the last few months, or maybe you just finished your first marathon… Either way, you finalized what you set out to accomplish. The feeling of self accomplishment you get when you finish what you started is by far one of the most rewarding simple pleasures life has to offer.

I love her but I'm just too shy.

"The spaces between your fingers were created so that another's could fill them in."

10th grade:

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called "best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. But she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and I handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

11th grade:

The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, one movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep. She looked at me, said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Senior year:

The day before prom she walked to my locker. "My date is sick" she said; he's not going to go. Well, I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade, we made a promise that if neither of us had dates, we would go together just as "best friends". So we did. Prom night, after everything was over, I was standing at her front door step. I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Graduation Day:

A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

A Few Years Later:

Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now. I watched her say "I do" and drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't see me like that, and I knew it. But before she drove away, she came to me and said "you came!". She said "thanks" and kissed me on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Funeral:

Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my "best friend". At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read: I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he doesn't notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him, I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love him but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me! `I wish I did too...` I thought to my self, and I cried.

No charge for Love

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups, and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard.
As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt tug on his overalls.
He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.

"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."

"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat of the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."

The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket,
he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've
got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"

"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. "Here Dolly!" he called.

Out from the doghouse and down ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.
The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.

As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed
something else stirring inside the doghouse.

Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....

"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.

The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands."

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.

"How much?" asked the little boy.

"No charge," answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love."

Healing a Broken Heart

Thinking about you.
Wondering why I can't get over you.
Hoping, that you'll either like me back or I'll get over this.

Wishing that I had never fallen for you and we could just be a normal pair of friends.

Dealing with a broken heart isn't easy. Especially in the weeks after the "lets just be friends" speech. But, there are a lot of things out there that helps get over the pain and gets you on with your life.

-Go for a walk, visit friends who care about you.
Calling your friends to ask for support helps. There isn't 1 person on the planet that dosen't have some understanding of what a broken heart feels like. Let your friends help you, care for you, and give you support.

-Get a pet... you can love them unconditionally. No matter what, pets are a wonderful source of love. And with a broken heart, love is what you need.

-Try something new; take a class in something that you've been interested in. When going through grief, remind yourself that life moves on.
You have to move on to the next chapter of your life - explore new passions.

-And if you can't do much for yourself at the present time, maybe you could try helping others.
Do some volunteer work at a soup kitchen, your church, or even visit friends who are ill or in need. As soon as you help someone else, you aren't spending so much time with your own mind, and negative thoughts.

Though I enjoyed being loved by a girl for 2 weeks; instead of moping over a relationship gone wrong, all I can do is give thanks for those 2 weeks of happiness.

And as painful the situation might be, I have to remember to let my feelings be.
If I keep stuffing my pain, I will carry it forever.
Letting the sadness, hurt, pain, and anger wash over me will make it go away much faster.

Dealing with a broken heart is a painful, messy time. Even if you have dealt with break ups before, the end of each relationship is unique and requires a new plan for moving on.
Certain stages, such as being sad, being mad, and finally moving on are normal when dealing with a broken heart so embrace, rather than fight these developments.

The day you wake up looking forward to each new adventure is the day you'll realize that your heart has healed.
Don't rush to this conclusion, but have faith that it will come when it is supposed to.

Remember, as long as you learn from this experience, then nothing has been wasted!

Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened!

There is a girl at school which I really really like :)

She is really special to me.
It's funny how big of an impact she has on me.

One of my friends asked me today "why I like her?"

Well, she is an awesome person and hanging out with her is really fun.

We do the most random things during class (like getting caught doing other things while we were supposed to be doing work) and yet, I just love it. Even if we were just sitting there not saying anything, you have no idea how much it means to me.

She is into the same clothing I like. She will laugh at your jokes even when they are not funny.
She is a very loving and caring person. She is one of those people who you could go to in times of trouble and she will cheer you up. You can talk about anything and it will not be boring.

On a previous post in my blog, I mentioned
how I get really shy when it comes to talking to girls... especially the ones I like. The thing about her is that I can talk to her and not be "shy"

Before, each morning when I open my eyes, I wanted to just stay in bed and not go to school. Now, I actually want to go to school just so I can be with this person. :)

People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.

If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile... But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me.

The truth of Wrestling

Wrestlers are the strongest, fastest, and smartest athletes in the world. But that's not what makes them unique. They are the MOST dedicated people in the world.

They sacrifice their lives to a sport of fighting. Where practice is 3 hours of lifting and throwing and conditioning. 3 hours of a literal street brawl. They give up there social lives. They can't party and get drunk because making weight on Saturday won't allow it. They cant go smoke after school cause they worked too damn hard to get into shape.

They have no team out on the mat with them to help get past an opponent. They stand on a mat with all eyes on them, alone. No one to fall back on when they make a mistake; no safety to make the tackle, and no goalie to make a diving save.

They are the leanest, meanest, and strongest in the world. Ladies want them, men want to be just like them.

So this is a tribute to all those who sacrifice everything: their free time, their food, and most importantly their life.

Why would someone work so hard, till they are puking in practice, sweating in their 3 layers and a sauna suit? Why would they go to practice instead of that badass party?
Or why would they induce the blood sweat and tears? The early morning runs, or mid day workouts or the extra run after practice to lose that last pound to make weight?

The road in wrestling always ends in tears. The man that takes second cries cause his dreams are over, and the man that wins it all cries more than anybody because finally everything that they have worked for is worth while.

Wrestlers will wrestle through anything because they are friggin' wrestlers. And greatness walks right with the word wrestler. I salute all who commit there life to something greater, something bigger than themselves.

Wrestlers don't do wrestling cause they like it, you would be crazy to like to beat yourself up on a daily basis, and get beaten up by teammates and opponents just as much. Yet there are the few who love it, they do it cause they were born to. These select people I applaud.

There is no future in wrestling, no pro league, no million dollar contract. Just a smelly practice room and a dream to be great. Wrestling is not a sport, its a lifestyle.

The Truth of Rock, Paper, Scissors

"I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no f***ing way Paper can beat Rock.

Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock leaving it immobile?
Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors?

Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college-ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class?

I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody, a rock would tear that s**t up in 2 seconds.

When I play rock/ paper/ scissors I always choose rock.

Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say "oh s**t I'm sorry I thought paper would protect you, a**hole."

Fail at Life

Failure is not an option

Ok, so there is a very pretty girl and I like her a lot.

Whenever I see her, I really want to go up to her just to say Hi, but I always get too "shy" whenever I see her. I know... epic fail -_-

It really is nerve wracking but then I think about it and it really isn't that bad.
How hard is it just to go up to someone you like to say "Hey! Whats up?" And what's the worst the person can say? No? What human being says no to another saying hello?

This has always been a problem for me. Whenever I see someone I like, I get too scared to talk to them... afraid that they will reject me. (So much for being a football player)

"Never give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about"

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Going through the Motions

Going through the Motions

When my teacher assigns 2 pages of homework, I just do those 2 pages and no more. When my coach makes me run 10 laps, I just run the 10.

Last night, I was thinking about how I just do the bare minimum and how I just "go through the motions"

So I was thinking, why not do the 2 pages of homework and then study some more? Why not run 12 laps when my coach only makes me run 10?

Mission San Jose is considered one of the "better" teams in the league when it comes to wrestling. We have always been placing 2nd or 3rd for the past few years (Logan would usually take 1st, Newark and us would take turns killing each other, fighting for the 2nd place title)

However, this season, our coach challenged us to take the league title.
So, everyday after school, we had extremely intense wrestling practice until 7:00 P.M. (Trust me, no sport practices as hard as wrestling. I would literally lose 2 pounds a practice just from sweat).... yeah I know.. it's gross

Anyways, I had to drop 8 pounds from 143 to 135 in 1 week to fill up the gap in the 135 lb weight class. (by eating really light and working out at the same time... yes it's bad for your body but whatever)
Everyday at lunch, I would see people enjoying their food while I was starving my butt off. Needless to say, it required a lot of discipline.

Everyday, at practice, when coach made us do 75 push-ups, we would all do 85.

Instead of just going the motions, we would take it to the next level. We would keep encouraging each other; telling each other never to give up.

At the MVAL finals, as a sophomore wrestling in varsity, I knew it was going to be tough.
I was in the 3rd quarter of my match, down 9-3 and I was really really tired. I started to give up but, my teammates would shout at me telling me that victory was within my grasp.

So I decided to give my opponent all I got. I went for a double leg take down, which got blocked. I went for it again and again. Shot after shot, I kept getting blocked by my opponent. At that point, I realized that the match was pretty much over. I was so tired I could not even stand up. I just wished my opponent would pin me and get this match over with.

It was not until there was 10 seconds left in the match that I thought,

"I did not work that hard in practice just to deserve this."

I remembered what my coach said. That if I give up, I am not hurting anyone, but myself.
I blocked out all other thoughts in my head. All I was thinking about was the win I was about to achieve. With 2 seconds left, I pinned my opponent.

So basically, my whole post can be summarized into 2 points:

1)Don't just go through the motions. Give life all you got!
2)Never ever give up. As long as you try, you can do it. :)

Now.. onto more happy things! :)
So.. life has been alright lately. School has always been tough but, I am surviving.
GETTING MY DRIVING LICENSE SOON!!! :D :D :D :D
Some friends and I play football every Fri. now. if you want to come, lmk.
Oh.. and 30 hr famine for church is coming up! (supposed to show us what starving feels like... I guess I already went through this during wrestling though)
Do you like my new blog song btw? Heard it @ church and inspired me to write this.

Oh yeah... and theres this cute girl I met recently :)
(and no.. I am not going to tell you her name) So Leon & JoJo.. don't even bother >:)

And Albert (if you are reading this), don't worry.. be happy! :)

The Hundreds

What the heck is "The Hundreds"?

It's basically just a clothing line based on LA/California skateboard, hip-hop culture.
You might have seen people wearing The Hundreds before. Their main logo is a bomb guy (called the Adam Bomb) going like :o

lol... as pictured below:

I have that shirt! :)

So why do I wear, "The Hundreds"?

One of the reasons why I wear this brand is that everywhere you look, people are wearing clothing brands such as Nike, or Abercrombie, or American Eagle. Not saying that I don't own any clothing from these brands or that these brands are bad but

I like to do things other people don't do.

For example, I play football.
If you ever look at NFL/College football teams... or even high school football teams, you will not see many, if not any, asians.

If you tell a CAM (Crazy Asian Mother) that you wrestle, they will go (In an Chinese accent):
"You go to do the study RIGHT NOW! You no do the wrestle, you must do the study right now! You need to get the 4.0. Go to the Harvard. Blah Blah Blah!!"

And the same with music. There are hundreds of millions and billions of chinese piano/violin players. But, how many asian drummers and guitarists are there? (well... I don't play drums but, I want to... just way too lazy)

I got this shirt a few days ago :D

So anyways, one of the reasons why I wear "The Hundreds" is because only a few people in my area wear it. The fact that I'm the only person at my school with this shirt is awesome. (Seriously... don't you hate it when you see someone wearing the same shirt as you?)

Another reason why I wear The Hundreds is because, I LOVE their designs. I mean.. who doesn't like a bomb going like :o

You must admit... their design's are ownage. (Some of their designs are pretty weird though)
Anyways, I think they
are very unique and it makes you stand out.

This will totally make you stand out.

Yeaahhh.... :)

Winter Retreat 2009

ELEVATE

This past weekend, I attended a church retreat at Mt. Hermon.

It was the 1st combined retreat I have ever been to (3 churches were there totaling about 190 people) and not only was it an amazing experience, it had a great impact on my life.

The theme of the retreat was: Elevate. When I first heard about the theme, I wondered what "Elevate" meant... But, now, after the retreat, I understand what it means.

Thomas Chen, our speaker was amazing. His messages taught us how we should "elevate" our faith. That we should bring our faith to the next level.

After 1 of his messages, I had some 1 on 1 time with God. I realized that I only pray when I must (such as during meals or when people ask me to pray) and that I only read the bibles on Sunday, when at church.

So what did I get out of the retreat? Well, I plan on reading the bible everyday; not just on Sundays. I also, plan to pray to God not only when I must or when I have a problem but, to pray to God everyday... even if it is just to say "Thank You Jesus"

Even though I was raised in a Christian family and have been attending church since I was really young.
Even though I am a born again Christian, a baptized Christan, I understand that I am not really close to God.

One of my goals from now on is to grow closer to God. To elevate... my faith the next level. I hope that next year at the same retreat, I can look back and say:

"I have grown closer to God"

Also, the retreat was extremely fun. The food was pretty good and I had the chance to paintball for the first time. (which is really exciting, yet painful)

I met many new friends from the other churches at the retreat as well as grow closer to the people from my own church.
There was also a really cute girl I liked at the retreat named Jessica, except I never had the guts to talk to her...... yes, I know, fail -_-

Oh, and that reminds me of another goal: To not be shy when it comes to talking to girls I like. xD

One last thing... the worship teams did a very good job. This following video is one of the songs: I Can Only Imagine performed by our worship team during the retreat.

Thanks for reading!

Someday

Someday I can do it
Yes I can

Someday, I will go to McDonalds
...and ask for strawberry milk when they only have regular and chocolate!

Someday, I'll win a trophy, the lottery, and my dignity.

Someday, I can forget about the past, my mistakes, my faults.
Someday, I will learn how to live with only one breath of fresh air.

Somewhere, somehow, sometime, someday... I can do all these things.

Oh wait, I can't do it without you!!!!!!

...Just a note to say that I love you all. :)

Dry or raw denim, is basically denim that is not washed after being dyed. It costs a whole bunch of money. You aren't supposed to wash the denim for 6 months - 1 year. (to maximize fading)

Over time, the denim will generally fade; affected by the body of the person who wears the jeans.

Why would people buy dry denim then? Whats the point of spending $150+ when you can't even wash the denim? Is it not gross to wear the same pair of jeans everyday for half a year without washing them? Isn't pre-washed denim more comfortable as well?

The whole point of dry denim is that it is affected by the body of the person who wears the jeans.

It creates what many people think is a much more "natural, unique" look than pre-distressed denim.
