Dry or raw denim, is basically denim that is not washed after being dyed. It costs a whole bunch of money. You aren't supposed to wash the denim for 6 months - 1 year. (to maximize fading)
Over time, the denim will generally fade; affected by the body of the person who wears the jeans.
Why would people buy dry denim then? Whats the point of spending $150+ when you can't even wash the denim? Is it not gross to wear the same pair of jeans everyday for half a year without washing them? Isn't pre-washed denim more comfortable as well?
The whole point of dry denim is that it is affected by the body of the person who wears the jeans.
It creates what many people think is a much more "natural, unique" look than pre-distressed denim.

Thanks. I play for Saint Lawrence Academy. It's in Santa Clara.
LOL Hi Isaac!!!
^ it's called stacking, and lol his didn't fade all that well.
=]. buy longer jeans for better stack-age. And the fading can also be acheived with normal jeans that haven't been treated TOO much. I have a pair of paris blues from macy's that have pretty nice whiskering, and I only spent like. . . 40 bucks on them. (They're too short now. T_T). So super expensive raw denim isn't absolutely necessary. Try naked and famous, b/c my cousin says that the material is alot sturdier than nudies, so it's less likely to rip. (ps it's kind of cheaper too)
(but you don't really need to listen to me b/c i'm a total noob, and i don't really own any raw denim. they're way too uncomfortable, and i don't like wearing pants when the weather's warm enough not to)
ah! I had no idea you had a blog!
